80s Nite - A Great Show!

I think our performances are getting better and better.

The goal for this show was to perform as well as the original artistes and the only 2 acceptable reasons we could not was because:

1) We do not have professional stage lights and

2) We do not have a freaking huge screen behind the bands flashing cool images

Other than the above, we wanted to do as well as the original. Did we? I'll let you guys be the judge of that. Personally I think some of you did rise up to the challenge and did as well. If we had the lights and screens you would have been out of this world.

One other thing, it was not just the performances this time round that has improved but the overall stage management of the show has gone up too. In the past we used to have a lot of downtime...time wasted waiting for the bands to set up which makes the audience lethargic. The reason for this was because we had frequent changes of musicians. This time we grouped the musicians in to 5 bands, each band playing 2 or 3 songs. Only the singers changed. This way the transition from one song to another was smoother and contributed to a more professional performance. Lets keep it up, and make future shows even better, cooler and more mind blowing.

So to everyone who contributed to make this show a success...thank you!

Will put some pics/vids up once I have it.

Cheers

Kit

Wow.. Nice to see your post. It's good to know that 80's nite has improved from the previous.. Yeah, I agree that the transition from one song to another was smoother on 80's nite. So yeah, let's make future shows even better (I know I want a better performance from myself)
